USAID Celebrates Fourth of July. USAID and Peace Corps were the center of attention at the 235th anniversary of U.S. independence reception at the U.S. Embassy in Bishkek. The USAID 50th Anniversary banner and photo exhibit were displayed on the compound along with Peace Corps’ photo exhibit. The U.S. Ambassador highlighted in her speech the two important 50th anniversary dates for both USAID and Peace Corps this year. The attendees had many more reasons to celebrate and enjoyed the U.S. Air Forces Band "Blue Hawk" repertoire of Latin and pop music.
