The Representative Office of USAID in the Kyrgyz Republic issues a by-monthly newsletter.  Main articles include: the UK Department for International Development (DFID) has agreed to give USAID £4 million (approx. $6.3 million) over three years to support several democracy and governance projects in the Kyrgyz Republic; USAID, in close cooperation with the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, officially launched a $7.4 million seed production assistance program to help farmers increase agricultural yields; USAID continues to support National Admission Test; USAID, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, conducted over 20 events devoted to World TB Day; USAID, through its Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI), funded three grants totaling $92,294 to improve the access of irrigation water for 1,080 families in the Kara-Guz, Kashka-Jol, and Ylai-Tala rural municipalities; USAID supports life skills development for over 270 young people aged 14-17 living in orphanages in Chui, Jalal-Abad, and Osh provinces; USAID helped to inaugurate the Legal Advisory Center at the Kyrgyz National University to provide free legal consulting services on labor rights and benefits, consultations for workers and employers, and many other achieved results.
